The origin of the word ANIMA comes from Latin and means Soul, Divine Breath, Spirit, Life.
We are a band, a group working for goodness, a music project, in short, many possibilities. Our banner is Good, together with the postulates of Jesus and the spiritist principles of Allan Kardec.
ÄNÏMÄ has its origins in 1998, in Taubaté, São Paulo, in conducting music workshops with young people from Spiritist Youth. In April 2001 the band received its current name, after numerous suggestions.
Our main activities are related to music, audiovisual and Spiritist Education, where we give music lectures, seminars, courses, workshops, art events such as ANIMAFEST, among others.
The members are: Malu Portella - vocalist and percussionist, Helton Gudin - guitarist and vocalist and Marcelo Piccini, drummer, and so many other dear friends who take turns on strings, drumsticks and keys, such as Daniel Martins (guitarist), Bruno Henrique (keyboardist / arranger) ), Léo Pinheiro (drummer)...
